Savannah Queens

We here at PoesPoes take all our breeding programmes very seriously and the Savannah project is no acceptation. From looking around the world we found that many savannahs lost a great amount of wild looks (type) and size between the F2 and F3 (second and third) generations, so our programme concentrates on these early stages.

We have our own Serval stud where we will be breeding various generations of savannahs back to in hopes of doubling up on wild genetics and looks to make wilder looking, bigger Savannahs that more closely resemble the Serval while not failing to keep our genetic base varied from many other breeders here in the UK and Europe.

On this page you will find some of the fanstasic girls we will be using in our savannah breeding programme. As the girls mature they will have their own pages added to the website so please chack back often.

Betty is a stunning 100% African Serval female it is our intention that she will be mated to our male Serval Jim to help maintain this unique line of Servals for our savannah cat breeding project. To avoid disappointment please do not ask us for a Serval or Leopard cat cub as these will not be available. Betty lives in a fully licensed enclosure along side Jim. We are hoping that the offspring of these wonderfully marked cats will greatly influence our lines. This girl is unrelated to any Serval currently used in any savannah programme.

Is a wonderful F2 female savannah, we find the F2 generations still maintain size and the look of the Serval and our main plans are to breed this wonderful generation back to the African Serval in hopes of maintaining size and wild looks in later generations. Long legs, wonderful individual spotting, size and exotic expression make this girl a true asset. This girl is believed to be genetically unrelated to any UK bases savannahs. We will be attempting to breed fertile F4 males from this line.

Our love for the F2 generation may be apparent now as here we have yet another wild looking F2 girl. The muscular and athletic build of this girl is so Serval like. Her spots are dark and contrasted on an excellent back ground and the ear size and set on this girl is phenomenal! Again this girl brings new genetics to the UK. We have very high hopes for this girl as her size is comparable to a female Serval so her babies should be big! We will be attempting to breed fertile F4 males from this line.

Well and other F2! We couldn’t resist this girl and all the qualities she has to offer our breeding project, she is such a sweet tempered rounded girl she will make an ideal mum for her future F1 and F3 babies. Again well placed large ears that are so commonly lost even by this early generation. Well defined individual spots and a super wild face. Again brining new genetics we cant wait to see here babies when they arrive! We will be attempting to breed fertile F4 males from this line.

We are expecting F1 and F3 litters from the above girls in 2009 / 2010 as these litters arrive naturally our number of breeding queens will increase, so keep checking back for up dated photos and to see our new girls. Our website will also expend naturally over time.

A1 Savannahs wild soul is a C registered savannah and the mother of some wonderful SBT Bengals. We felt it was important to include later generation savannahs in our programme for the breed to benefit with increasing the number of SBT savannah to get them to a accepted stage in T.I.C.A for showing. This would help the breed to be increasingly recognised and also support our hard work and attention to the earlier generations. We feel the Savannah will become as popular (if not more so) than the Bengal and its potential as a breed is extra ordinary.
