Like the Bengal was made with the Asian leopard cat hybridizing with the domestic ca the savannah was made by hybridizing the African Serval to the domestic cat.

It’s the largest breed available to date and the breed as whole is very much still in its infancy and we here at PoesPoes could resist in the chance to help progress this breed (especially in the UK).

With two unrelated African Servals we hope to combine some existing early generation Savannah lines in an effort to breed large well spotted Serval look alikes, that are for their excellent temperaments and their high percentage of Serval genetics. Our kittens are available to pet, show and breeding homes.

By 2010 be hope to be breeding F1, F2 and SBT Savannahs. Our website is constantly under review and is changed regularly as our breeding programme matures so please do keep checking back.

We have gone to great lengths to bring Savannahs to the UKfrom new and less common breeding lines in hopes to reduce any potential in breeding and give the breed a boost. We have a special passion for the early generations of the hybrid breeds so in many cases our females are F1 to F3 with some exceptional F4 females.

We hope to breed some fertile F4 males within our programmes and these alone would offer genetic diversity type and help maintain Serval genetics within our programme.

All F1 females will remain here with us to help progress our own breeding programme, but we should soon have F2 and F3 generation kittens available. F1 Savannahs are extremely difficult to produce and to have UK bred F1 Savannahs will be a great success, hopefully the first of many here at PoesPoes
